But as it turns out, international readers are also glued to the refresh button. Below, we\u2019ve rounded up some of the morning\u2019s leading headlines from newspapers and magazines around the world.<\/p>\n<p><b>United Kingdom: <\/b>Although the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/edition\/news\/us-presidential-election-america-decides-its-fate-wtfgxf30w\" target=\"\"><i>Times of London<\/i><\/a> didn\u2019t evaluate Trump\u2019s claims in a headline on Wednesday morning\u2014\u201cTrump claims victory and demands end to vote count\u201d\u2014the paper clarified in the article that the race is \u201cstill wide open\u201d in key states. The claims, the <i>Times<\/i>\u2019 U.S. editor and Washington correspondent reported, amounted to a \u201cbaseless allegation.\u201d Meanwhile, the front page of the tabloid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-8913707\/Biden-takes-narrow-lead-Wisconsin-Trump-clinging-Michigan.html\" target=\"\"><i>Daily Mail<\/i><\/a>, Britain\u2019s highest-circulation paper, juxtaposed Biden\u2019s growing lead in Michigan and Wisconsin with Trump\u2019s unfounded allegations of \u201csurprise ballot dumps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Ireland: <\/b>\u201cFintan O\u2019Toole: At 2.23am today, the US president launched an attempted coup,\u201d reads the front page of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/news\/world\/us\/fintan-o-toole-at-2-23am-today-the-us-president-launched-an-attempted-coup-1.4400134?mode=sample&amp;auth-failed=1&amp;pw-origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.irishtimes.com%2Fnews%2Fworld%2Fus%2Ffintan-o-toole-at-2-23am-today-the-us-president-launched-an-attempted-coup-1.4400134\" target=\"\"><i>Irish Times<\/i><\/a>. O\u2019Toole, a columnist at the paper, wrote that \u201cClose to half of Americans voted for him in the full knowledge that he was going to do it.\u201d The irony of this, given incoming election results, is that Trump \u201cbehaved like an autocrat even when it was quite possible that he could still win by being a democrat,\u201d O\u2019Toole wrote. Elsewhere in the paper, the Washington correspondent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/news\/world\/us\/biden-campaign-says-democrat-is-on-track-to-win-us-presidential-election-1.4399179\" target=\"\">reported<\/a> that despite Trump\u2019s claims of victory and fraud, the election is \u201ctoo close to call.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Germany:<\/b> The German newsmagazine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/politik\/ausland\/us-wahl-amerika-am-tag-der-die-welt-veraendern-wird-reportage-a-8ecaf565-6347-494b-99f5-3eba3f9717ed\" target=\"\"><i>Der Spiegel<\/i><\/a> prefaced its coverage of Tuesday\u2019s U.S. presidential election\u2014which it called \u201can attack on the nerves\u201d \u2014with two caveats.
